Our Training Program
Being a part of a professional training program is a step to developing your equestrian skills individually as well as with your horse with the goal to grow into the best partnership possible.
The AHJ training program is professional horse training. Thus, the program allows each rider to grow and develop their skills and goals, while their horse is developing or maintaining with them through separate professional rides with Lisa Shane. Moving to a training program is not for casual riders looking to ride once a week or less, but the next step towards accomplishing your riding goals, ultimately with your own horse as training programs do not provide “school horses” as a riding school does. The program includes lesson for you, which coincide with Lisa’s professional training of your horse - the professional rides are key to a successful program for each rider.
Many riders are not ready to purchase their onw horse right out of riding school, and some choose to lease a horse in a training program to take part in horse ownership before purchasing one’s own horse. A lease program allows a rider to pay a fee to have the privilege of riding someone else’s horse in order to take part in a training program. The rider gets a more immersive experience with his or her leased horse as it is similar to ownership - taking part in horse care, paying for board, vet and farrier bills, and having the ability to show the house under the directions of your trainer.
Whether you have your own horse already or decide to lease or buy a horse, when you transition to a professional training program, your are taking an incredible step to develop your skills and accomplish your ultimate riding goals. The combination of unique and customized ongoing sessions allows for maximum growth of your partnership with your horse. You will develop your schedule with Lisa in order to take advantage of her horse training expertise and your equestrian level to accomplish your goals.
